The #10 Brisbane ‘burbs in the exclusive Million-Dollar-Median Club

by Kate Watt, Marketing Manager 29 March 2017

Brisbane lays claim to 10 suburbs with a median house price above $1 million and inner north favourite New Farm tops the list with a whopping median price of $1,620,500.

New data from Domain shows Brisbane’s rich list includes a mix of traditional blue chip burbs, as well as trendy inner city locales and a couple of semi-rural outliers.

The key to cracking the million-dollar list is liveability.

Proximity to the CBD, good schools and amenities contributes to a steady stream of buyers willing to pay big bucks.

Take Wilston for example with a median price of $1,112,500. It’s attracting buyers with its proximity to the CBD (just 3km away) and popular schools including St Columba’s Primary School and Wilston State School, reports Domain.

Other inner city and near-city suburbs are popular for much the same reasons.

The furthest suburbs on the million-dollar list are Rochedale and Pullenvale, with buyers here seeking more house and land for their money, and a relaxed, yet still luxurious lifestyle.
