#10 Suburbs where spring home sales are moving fastest

by Kate Watt, Marketing Manager 18 October 2017

Want a speedy sale this spring? If you live on the north side you’ve got a pretty good chance of getting just that with 9 of Brisbane’s 10 fastest selling suburbs north of the river.

Buyers in Keperra better be quick because homes here are lasting an average 11 days on market, according to CoreLogic data published in The Courier-Mail.

Fitzgibbon sellers are also snaring sales in under two weeks with an average 13 days on market.

You’ll find the family favourite hot spots of Albany Creek (16 days) and Ferny Hills (16 days) cruising in the fast lane too.

What is driving the frenetic pace?

It’s a mix of location and affordability, according to CoreLogic head of research Cameron Kusher.

Another common feature was an abundance of old faithful post-war houses with renovation potential.

“They probably haven’t been the most desirable suburbs historically but people are coming around to the fact they’re close to the city and have good public transport, so we’re seeing a bit of gentrification in those areas,” he said.
