Salt N Pepa and Good Charlotte put which northside neighbourhood on the map?

by Karleen Jentz, Copywriter 9 August 2017

Where else, aside from a Kia Sportage ad, would you find Salt N Pepa cruising the Aussie suburbs?

Right here in Brissie’s northside where a certain hotel continues to attract big name acts to an otherwise quiet family locale.

Have you guessed it yet? We’re talking about Eatons Hill and its namesake hotel.

This peaceful suburb sprang to life when the Eatons Hill Hotel opened a huge capacity venue in 2011, which has since hosted the likes of Good Charlotte, Salt N Pepa, Vanilla Ice and TLC amongst many more.

It’s no wonder the Hotel has been named Queensland’s Best Entertainment Venue more than once.

It continues to mature with a $45 million development taking shape around the Hotel precinct including accommodation, retail and dining.

So what has this development done for the local property market? Locals will know Eatons Hill is a mix of suburban house blocks and semi-rural acreage blocks which appeal to families.

Your Investment Property magazine reports the five-year average increase in median property values for Eatons Hill has given property investors a potential capital gain of 15.78% across each of those five years. There’s still value buying to be had with a median house price of $611,625 and median weekly advertised rent of $505.
