How Watt got the job done
We’ve been managing Marv and Lisa’s rental property at Fitzgibbon for over a year.
The house used to be their own home…in fact it was their first property purchase in their early twenties!
They initially rented the house out when they moved overseas for a period. Back now in Brisbane they continue to rent it out as they now live in and own a larger one for their growing fam.
Having a busy life with small children, Marv and Lisa don’t want to be constantly bothered with a lot of minor maintenance issues. High on their priority list is having a property manager they can trust. So I give the tenant leeway to undertake small maintenance repairs themselves…it’s great to have long term tenants who want to!
Also a priority is regular inspections to keep track of these repairs and report back to the Marv and Lisa. The arrangement works well for everyone.
They've have had minimal expenditure to outlay and are achieving fantastic rent for this area (well above market). Plus they've just retained their tenants for another 12 months….even with us increasing the rent on lease re-signing.
