Brighter Buying

This north Brissie region is set to boom

Just a five-minute drive from our home base of Aspley is one of Australia’s most boom-ready regions, according to new forecasts.

Moreton Bay is one of four Queensland regions given ‘best buy’ status in the Hotspotting National Top 10 Best Buys report, according to realestate.com.au.

New infrastructure and jobs – including the University of the Sunshine Coast Petrie campus – are continuing to drive interest in this northern Brisbane growth corridor.

Realestate.com.au quotes from the Terry Rider report:

“The Moreton Bay Region, which is ‘within striking distance’ of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, has continued to be one of Australia’s fastest growing local government areas for some time, with housing remaining affordable and its local economy ‘boosted by massive levels of infrastructure spending’… The affordability of the Moreton Bay Region, where most suburbs have median house prices below $500,000, makes it appealing to investors as well as first-home buyers.”

In fact this region on our doorstep has the highest number of suburbs with rising sales activity in the Brisbane metropolitan area, highlighting the accessibility of this area to value buyers.

It also offers something for the upper end of the market with five Morton Bay burbs – in the prestige acreage postcode of 4520 – now in the million-dollar median club: Camp Mountain, Samford Valley, Mount Samson, Wights Mountain and Highvale. Still not a bad price to pay for a slice of local paradise.
