New homewares mecca opens on Brisbane’s northside

by Kate Watt, Marketing Manager 22 November 2018

Northside renovators, decorators and shopaholics rejoice: Brisbane has a new homewares precinct and it’s on our doorstep.

Skygate Home & Life centre has now opened at Brisbane Airport’s Skygate precinct… that’s near DFO for those of you who know your outlets.

It reportedly cost $18 million, took 10 months to build and has added a whopping 9,260 square meters of retail space to the centre. That’s a lot of shopping.

It offers some big names in homewares and furniture including: Nick Scali, James Lane, Sleeping Giant, Lighting Illusions, Pillow Talk, Early Settler and Deco Rug.

It all adds to the amenity of Brissie’s north where we’re already spoiled for choice when it comes to pimping our homes with Carseldine and Aspley boasting great home and furniture centres.

But you can never have too many shops on your doorstep. The other bonus of the Skygate Home & Life centre is that you can stop in at Queensland’s only 24/7 Woolworths on your way home to pick up those last minute groceries.

Sounds like the perfect place to start the Christmas shopping!
