#10 performers predicted for 2016

Queensland’s residential capital growth is set to outshine the nation in 2016 to 2017 as southern states soften, according to the latest NAB survey.

Queensland is predicted to clock up 1.9% and 2.7% growth in the next two years, as Victoria takes second place with predictions of 0.7% and 1%, according to the NAB Quarterly Australian Residential Property Survey Q4 2015.

Clearly they’re modest gains, so we might not pop the top shelf champagne, but a good mid-range bottle seems warranted.

But how does this broad brush information help buyers and sellers? Well, it probably doesn’t. You need to look closer. NAB has broken it down for us with a list of “suburbs tipped to enjoy above average capital growth”. We’re not sure the Gold Coast is a suburb, but here’s the list anyway.
