The Queensland rental suburbs commanding close to $800 a week

Prestigious rural retreats, inner Brisbane pockets and idyllic coastal properties are commanding the highest rents in Queensland with tenants paying close to $800 per week for an enviable lifestyle.

The prestigious rural suburb of Pullenvale takes equal first as the most expensive place in Queensland to rent a house with a median weekly rent of $795 according to Nearby Brookfield also cracks the top #10 with tenants paying a median $750 a week for a house.

Ouch! You can rent a solid family home here in Aspley for just over half that.

While trendy Brisbane suburbs including New Farm and Chelmer also made the top #10,

it’s Queensland’s coastal areas that dominate the list.

Rental houses in the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley on the Gold Coast command a median weekly rent of $795. Also on the Gold Coast tenants in Tallebudgera, Currumbin Valley and Clear Island Waters are coughing up more than $700 a week.

On the Sunshine Coast, Mons and Diddillibah command a median $725.

To afford rents in these prestigious suburbs tenants need to be earning well over $120,000 to avoid going into rental stress.
